This device aims to establish a real time connection between the mother and the child, giving the mother something that she can relate with the baby's body and submerging the baby in multisensory bath that he can relate with his mother's chest. This will trigger an emotional response on the mother as well as the baby establishing a emotional connection among them that will bring better chances for the baby to get better and to bond with the mother.
Bring the mother and the baby together through an emotional prothesis
The mother wears a sensor bag on her chest, this sensor bag (which also replicates the volume of the baby's body) collect the heart beating, the breathing movement and the voice.

The signals then are send via wireless to the control module which controls the pump system that insufflate air into the inner bladders of the mattress as well as the sound that is send to the directional speakers.
The system works synchronously which means that signal collected from the mother chest are delivered to the baby instantly (very small delay may happen due to the processing). The system works continuously so it doesn't relay in recorded or pre-patterned signal but on real time connection, so if the mother take a deep breath the amplitude and the duration of that deep breath will be replicated instantly by the mattress, as it will be done with any small change in heart beating rhythm.
The mattress replicate the heart beating and the breathing of the mother. The voice is play by directional speakers in the band of the mattress emulating the direction from where they will come if the baby would be in the mother's chest.

The band of the mattress features cavities for placing towels that the mother has used to bring the smell of the mother into the incubator environment. the position of this cavities are related to the breasts so the baby can later relate the source of the smell with the source of food.
